Croatia midfielder Luka Modric is on the verge of qualifying for his fifth World Cup, with his national team topping their group. The AC Milan player turns 40 on Tuesday, making him one of the oldest players to qualify.

The chances of qualifying for the World Cup are great and this would be another achievement for the absolute leader of the Balkan team that reached the final in 2018. We recall that in his career, Modric has also won 1 Ballon d'Or during the period when he played for Real Madrid.
