Tito Jackson, member of the pop group 'Jackson 5' and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 70, US media reports. The official cause of death has not yet been released.
Tito was in the iconic group along with brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael, who died in 2009.
He was recently in Munich ahead of a show the band was about to play.
Steve Manning, longtime Jackson family friend and former Jackson family manager, told Entertainment Tonight that Jackson died today, September 16. His three sons, Taz, Taryl and TJ Jackson, who were themselves a 1990s R'n'B/pop trio, 3T, confirmed the news in an Instagram post:
"We are shocked, saddened and devastated," the post reads. "Our father was an extraordinary man who cared about everyone and their well-being." And he continues: "We will miss him a lot. It will forever be "Tito's time" for us. Please remember to do what our father always advocated and that is to 'love one another'. We love you, grandfather."
Jackson 5 hits included 'ABC', 'The Love You Save' and 'I Want You Back'.
