Actor George Clooney has humorously commented on the jewelry robbery at the Louvre Museum, declaring himself proud of the perpetrators.
The actor compared the latest robbery to the movie robberies in the series "Ocean's".
Speaking on Thursday evening, October 23, at the premiere of his new film "Jay Kelly" at the AFI festival, Clooney said, smiling, that he felt "proud" of the authors.
"If you're a professional robber, like me... I'm so proud of these guys," he joked, referring to his role as Danny Ocean, the leader of the film robbers in the famous "Ocean's" trilogy, he said.
When asked if this robbery could be an inspiration for a new film, he replied with a laugh: "I think we should rob the Louvre."

His reaction came a few days after the robbery that took place at the Louvre museum in Paris, when thieves forced their way in on the morning of Sunday, October 19, and stole eight priceless jewels.
Clooney seemed impressed by how they managed to complete the robbery "in broad daylight."
"It was fantastic. I wonder if they'll catch them. They seem to have done a pretty good job of getting away," he said.
The actor also confirmed that filming for "Ocean's 14" is expected to begin next year, with Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle set to return to their roles.
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, at around 9:30 a.m., two criminals entered the Apollo Gallery using a jewel-picking machine, smashed a window, and stole eight French crown jewels, worth an estimated 90 million euros. They fled on high-powered scooters driven by two other people. The robbery lasted a total of seven to eight minutes. It raised questions about the security of the world's most famous museum.
