Renowned dancer Gerd Vaso has spoken about his career, family and the reasons for his separation from his partner, Enada Hoxha.
For the first time, he has spoken about the breakdown of his marriage and its end. In an interview for "Grida Duma Podcast", Balerini states that "his ex-partner Nada lost Gerdi, while I may have lost many things along my journey."
Excerpt from the interview:
Gerd Vaso: It's very difficult to work together. It's beautiful at first, during the journey, during the journey then you realize that things become even more difficult, because in my work, in my profession I haven't always had that, let's call it selfishness in quotes, or always selfishness for the good of Nada. Nada loved ballet to the extreme, to the extreme and the profession in a way for Enada was very important and primary. For me it wasn't, it's what we started at the beginning, for me it was there was a kind of limit up to here. Up to here I can, beyond this I can't. I can't work with schedules that no longer support me, that no longer give me pleasure. I work as much as I get pleasure beyond my pleasures, outside of my pleasures I don't go.

According to me, it must have happened to you that you made a sacrifice because you have a life partner and if your life partner pushes you further, you continue to push yourself even further because you cannot stop yourself like anyone else.
Gerd Vaso: In this life, if at some point Nada ultimately lost Gerd, I may have lost many things along my journey.
Grida Duma: Right?
Gerd Vaso: My personality, my dignity, my character, the real Gerd I was, the laughter with friends, with comrades, with many things.
Grida Duma: So you say...
Gerd Vaso: I focused on my family, I focused on my profession, I focused completely on another life
Grida Duma: And I changed from myself and you say
Gerd Vaso: I came out of myself.
Grida Duma: Did you come out of yourself?
Gerd Vaso: I definitely went out of myself, I went out of myself for love, I went out of myself for my profession, for my career.
