George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, along with their twins Alexander and Ella, have obtained French citizenship, giving the family a new lease on life in France. The actor said the decision won't change their routine much, as the family has already lived on a small farm in rural France for several years.
Clooney, who spent part of his childhood on a farm, said it provides a more peaceful environment for his children, away from the culture of Hollywood. "They eat dinner with adults, they have to clean up after themselves and they have a much better life here, apart from iPads and the wonderful world of technology," he said.
One of the main reasons the couple decided to live in the countryside is to protect their privacy. George Clooney said he doesn't want his children to be the target of paparazzi and live under the pressure of fame. "In France, they're not interested in fame at all. They can have a normal life, and that's all I want," the actor added.
Clooney also stressed the importance of discipline in raising his children, considering this part of their ordinary life in Europe and a way to keep them away from the pressures and attention of international paparazzi.
