The Kosovo Assembly has decided to send the Kosovo Security Force abroad, as part of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza. The decision was passed with 89 votes in favor, none against, and no abstentions.
Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci said that sending Kosovo soldiers to such operations creates trust in international allies.
"The deployment of the KSF in this mission includes the participation of KSF personnel within the unified command of the international stabilization force, whose mission is to support the implementation of the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, always based on the mandate of the international stabilization force ," he said.
We recall that Kosovo has made this commitment as part of the Peace Board, an initiative supported by the United States that aims to mediate and contribute to the resolution of global conflicts, including stabilization after the ceasefire in Gaza.
The KSF's participation is expected to focus on supporting stabilization, protecting civilians, and providing humanitarian aid, while the safety of Kosovo soldiers remains an absolute priority.
