Today marks the third day of vote recounting for the Fier region at the "Farie Hoti" Sports Palace, where the remaining 131 ballot boxes are expected to be opened.
So far, 456 ballot boxes out of 587 in total, or over 79%, have been recounted. The results so far have shown errors in the figures, but without a possible impact on the mandates.
The DP has lost 103 votes that it received without merit, while the SP has gained 12 votes. These changes have dimmed the hopes of the Albania Initiative coalition to take a mandate from the SP and to introduce candidate Azmer Dulević into the Assembly. Adriatik Lapaj's coalition needed 519 votes to receive the mandate, but the recount so far has not given it any advantage, as 7 votes that it received without merit have been removed.
Other parties have also suffered small losses of votes, such as the Joint Movement, which lost 7 votes, the Right Coalition for Development lost 1 vote, and the Opportunity party lost 3 votes.
As for the candidates, in the socialist camp, Zegjine Çaushi's mandate now seems secure after she won 60 votes from the recount, while her "rival" Maldrita Bardho lost one vote. In the SP, Ceno Klosi results with the highest number of undeserved votes, with 914 votes deducted from the initial result. While Klevis Jahaj is added 462 votes, which were deducted from the first count.
In the DP, although the 4 MPs who emerged are from the closed list, significant losses have been recorded. Silva Hasaj is the candidate with the most unmerited votes, 690 votes, followed by Gentian Çela with 209 votes.
KAS member Ledio Braho, asked a day ago by Report TV about the votes that went to candidate Hasaj's bloc, said that they will review the counting groups and then assess whether to proceed with criminal charges or not.
Given the pace of the renewal groups, it is expected that the Fier process will be completed today. It will then continue with the 360 boxes of Durrës, some of which are from the diaspora.
