Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has called on Greece to finalize the agreement on the recognition of pensions and social security for Albanian immigrants, describing this as an issue of fundamental human rights.
During his speech in the Assembly, Brace stated that thousands of Albanians who have lived and worked for years in Greece continue to not benefit from the contributions they have paid into the social security scheme, unlike citizens of other European Union countries.
The socialist MP said that the Greek state has recognized social security for Romanian and Polish citizens, while according to him, Albanian immigrants continue to be treated differently. He raised questions about this approach, considering it unfair to the Albanian community in Greece.
"What hurts a lot in this story is the agreement with Greece. Berisha has been prime minister of Albania several times, but he did not manage to reach an agreement for the Albanian workers who have been, have worked and contributed, have maintained the economy of Greece, during his years. Even today, when he had the opportunity to talk about this, he did not say a word. Because for him, the Albanians of Greece, or the Albanian workers of Greece, are opponents. They are people who voted 90-95% for the SP.
Therefore, we should not talk about them. This is not a pension story, but a fundamental issue of human rights, of Albanians who work and live in Greece. Greece has no right to keep the social security contributions of Albanians there. When it does not provide them with any services. We compete as neighboring countries even for informality. Greece is violating the fundamental rights of Albanians. Greece has recognized social security for Poles and Romanians. How is it possible that Greece remembers the rights of Albanian citizens here in Albania and does not remember the rights of Albanian citizens in Greece", said Braçe, among other things.
Regarding the protest held during these days against the construction of the tourist resort in Zvërnec, Vlora, Braçe said that there are many honest citizens there, just as according to him there are also people who seek to exploit this situation for political purposes.

There are also these conservative conspiracists who are plotting to sell a country, just as there are those aligned with them, who believe everything. "In the end, there are also banal crooks who are not at all ashamed of their own slaves when they insult the slaves of others ," Braçe continued.
