Former Democratic MP Myslim Murrizi revealed a flagrant case that shows the double standard of the Special Anti-Crime and Corruption Unit when it comes to investigating specific names.
Murrizi stated that a prosecutor investigating Erion Veliaj had to be punched in court for not investigating Olta Xhaçka.
"Justice speaks with standards. A prosecutor who investigates Veliaj's rowing... for Olta Xhaçka had to be beaten with fists in the appeals court because he didn't want to investigate her, because the first instance judge said a property investigation should be done. Vetting is what was done to Murriz for 8 months ," he said on A2 CNN.
According to Murriz, justice has been brought with double standards when it comes to investigating politicians and has been used by the majority.
"These billionaires are floating around in properties, wealth and resorts and there is no wealth investigation. Double-standard behavior. They brought out 6-7 prosecutors who were misused by the majority to hit this one and not hit that one ," he concluded.
