Lawyer Alesia Balliu has lashed out at Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, stating that the latter appears to be stepping down from the leadership of the Democratic Party and should enjoy his retirement.
Balliu said that Sali Berisha is a 'grandfather' even in politics, as according to her, his time is over.
" We wish Sali Berisha a long life and good health, but in the political context, he should retire and enjoy his retirement with his niece and nephew. Today, Sali Berisha is a grandfather in politics, as he has lost every election since 2013. His time is up, and anyone who does not accept this fact will remain in opposition for life, " Balliu said on Report TV.
Balliu further emphasized that the current leadership of the DP does not bring the latter to power. He also said that the leadership of the DP should leave, as it is only bringing losses to this political force.
"This leadership does not bring the opposition to power. This leadership has one accusation of corruption, and how can it accuse the other? Who is the difference?",
"Edi Rama is taking his 5th mandate and we don't want to change, analyze, or get involved in elections. We hear a grandfather saying, "Will you run again? Will you run to lose? Or to bring about an even more spectacular failure than 2013 ?", added Balliu.
