The well-known and beloved tenor for Albanians, Thanas Konini, has passed away. The soloist of the song "I love Albania more", died this Sunday at the age of 71, after suffering from an illness.
Konini was a member of the Lira Choir since his youth. He will be remembered for performing as a soloist the songs "I love Albania more" and "O moj ti me sy te zinj".
The Korça Theater has expressed its condolences and deep gratitude for his extraordinary contribution to the artistic life of the city.
"The departure of Konin is a loss for the citizens of Korça, the "Lira" Choir, the art lovers who applauded his rare voice all his life", the post reads.
