With the idea and under the auspices of the Embassy of Albania in Vienna, in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences and the Museum of Natural History, a scientific conference and exhibition dedicated to the "Knights of Babunja" - one of the most important archaeological discoveries of recent years in Europe - was organized in Vienna.

This event brought together 140 archaeologists from different countries, representatives of the Austrian government and Parliament, ambassadors from different countries, the mayor of the Divjaka municipality where Babunja is part of, as well as personalities from the academic and diplomatic world.

For the first time in Austria, a find of special archaeological value was presented to the public, as a symbol of our rich cultural heritage.
"A national pride, a historical testimony in the heart of Vienna, where Albanian history took place, in one of the most prestigious European institutions."

"A rare moment to put archaeology at the service of cultural diplomacy," reads one of the posts from the Albanian Embassy in Vienna.
