Associate Justice Artan Tafani continued his testimony at the Special Court, revealing new details about the activities of the criminal group led by Laert Haxhiu.
He confessed that he received an order to place a quantity of TNT in Lushnje as a form of pressure on a person who had not repaid the debt for goods taken from the group, as well as for a murder ordered for 50 thousand euros.
"In one of the meetings, they told me to plant TNT in Lushnja. The reason was that they had given goods to someone and he had not given the money. They wanted to do it as pressure. I said 'okay', whatever I said... from the first day I had the feeling of pressure, I don't know how to explain it," Tafani said before the court.
The next task was much more difficult, as it involved contract killings.
"On another trip, we went to Pogradec, me, Laerti and Ligori. At one point, Laerti called me out and asked me what I knew how to do. I told him that I was into shopping and had once committed a violent robbery, but I didn't believe he wanted me for murder, he himself did these things, I said," Tafani testified.
But the conversation took a different turn. According to him, after a stop in Dardhe, he was offered the opportunity to carry out a contract killing on behalf of the group.
"They told me you would do a job for one of our people in Tepelena. They only mentioned the name of Çajup Selim to me later. I was stunned that night," said Tafani, adding that the murder order would be carried out by him and Ligori, for a total amount of 50 thousand euros, from which each would benefit from 25 thousand.
"Ligori told me you'd have me from behind and I was shocked and didn't know what to do. I told him you know. I was under pressure and terror because I was afraid, everyone was pinning Laertes."

In the car of these girls we went to Tepelena, to get to know him as a person, since we didn't even have a photo, nothing.
Ligori was at the wheel, the victim had a shop in Tepelena and he shot while he was outside the shop. I saw him, he showed me the way so I could leave on foot, he also showed me the victim's house and we turned around and left again for Saranda.
After a few days we meet a friend of Laertes. Marius Diamanti, who was killed in Athens, was with Laertes' friend. He was interested in the murder, I later learned why the murder had to be committed.
Laertin's name in Chatmail was "Alufi", while Lulzim was called "James". We sat in Ksamil, ate bread. That night we finished dinner there and went to another hotel.
The next day, Ligori came with a “BMW” after lunch. Ligori gave me the gun and it had 3 cartridges. He gave me a belt, told me to keep the gun here. Before we left for Tepelena, we went to eat bread at a bar. Me, Laerti, Ligori, Erisiano were there. We left for Tepelena for the murder. It was in the afternoon as if it were dark. I got into a thorny bush with Ligori and Erisiano and Laerti fled to Tirana.
"Ligori and I went near the building and separated, Ligori went to the center, I went down to the building to kill him. Ligori communicated with me via Signal and told me if the victim was leaving. At one point he closed the store and left ," Tafani testified.
