An unusual discovery has shocked the Leskovik area. Bone remains, suspected to belong to a human, have been found in the Kopila Cave, inside the thermal lake that was identified a few months ago by a group of Czech researchers.
According to local sources, during an expedition conducted by several Albanian divers, bones resembling human bones were found at a depth of over 100 meters. The discovery was made late yesterday evening and immediately after the announcement, the Korça police set up an investigation group.
Law enforcement has secured the scene, while the first procedural actions are being carried out to determine the origin of the remains. Investigations are being conducted by the police and the prosecutor's office of the Korça judicial district, which are expected to determine whether these are human or animal remains, as well as the possible time of the incident.
