Suspected of being the head of a criminal drug trafficking group, the 39-year-old Albanian has been arrested. This is the fugitive Dranoel Ndoja, who, according to Italian media, was the mastermind of the criminal drug trafficking organization that was hit as part of Operation "Wind Rose", which took its name from the rose tattoo on Ndoja's neck.
"The Carabinieri from the Castelraimondo station, in collaboration with colleagues from the Camerino company's operational unit, led by Captain Angelo Faraca, tracked down and arrested the 39-year-old, a resident of Gagliole, but recently under house arrest in Civitanova. He is serving the remaining sentence for drug possession and trafficking," the Italian authorities informed.
But despite house arrest, he continued his activities and was once again declared wanted. Now he has been sentenced in absentia to prison, which he must serve.
The investigation began with the discovery of a large quantity of narcotics in an abandoned bag inside the Gagliole train station. From there, the carabinieri uncovered a thriving drug retail business, along with drug distribution points and storage facilities.
Nine men were brought to trial on charges of drug trafficking, active mainly in Castelraimondo, Camerino, San Severino, Tolentino, but also in Gagliole, Belforte and Serravalle, and in certain cases also along the coast, the media reports.
The 39-year-old Albanian must now serve the remaining sentence of 6 years, 10 months and 18 days in prison, as determined by the final sentence. After the usual formalities at the barracks, the 39-year-old was sent to Fermo prison.
