A fatal accident was recorded today on the Laç-Patok road.
A serious road accident has claimed the life of a 37-year-old man on the Laç-Patok road, while the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident has ended up in handcuffs.
According to the police report, Traffic Police specialists arrested citizen AS, 33 years old, a resident of the village of Gurëz in Fushë-Kuqe, in flagrante delicto, suspected of violating traffic rules resulting in death.
The accident occurred at around 1:00 PM, on the Laç-Patok road segment, where the vehicle driven by the 33-year-old collided with a moped driven by citizen LT, 37, a resident of Fushë-Kuqe, Kurbin.
As a result of the impact, the moped driver was seriously injured and was urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized medical assistance.
Despite the intervention of doctors, the 37-year-old could not survive due to his injuries and died a few hours later, at around 6:40 PM.
Meanwhile, the police have referred the procedural materials to the Prosecutor's Office, which will continue the investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.

At around 1:00 PM, on 02.06.2026, on the Laç-Patok road, the vehicle driven by the 33-year-old collided with a moped, driven by citizen LT, 37 years old, resident of Fushë-Kuqe, Kurbin.
As a result of the accident, citizen LT was seriously injured and was transported for medical assistance to the Trauma Hospital, Tirana, where, at around 18:40, he lost his life," the police announced.
