The Special Court of First Instance against Corruption and Organized Crime has accepted the request of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) to proceed to trial the criminal case registered in 2019, which is related to suspected narcotics trafficking activities within the framework of a structured criminal group.
Erjon Hoxhara, Eltion Bregasi, Mariglen Shusha, Donial Drolli and Elton Hamza will be in the dock. They are accused of a number of criminal offenses, including drug trafficking, cultivation of narcotic plants, participation in a structured criminal group and committing criminal offenses within this group.
According to the decision of Judge Olkeda Lice, three of the defendants, Mariglen Shusha, Donial Drolli and Elton Hamza, also face charges of cultivating narcotic plants and attempted narcotics trafficking.
The court has ordered the formation of the trial file and its filing with the court secretariat within 10 days. The decision taken at this procedural stage is final and cannot be appealed.
The case is related to investigations conducted within the framework of the operation known as "Spirit", one of the important proceedings of recent years in the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime.
