Yesterday Ali Ahmeti, under the coordination of Taulant Balla, joined a noisy group that has been trying for years to privatize the merits, symbols and even the history of the KLA. In fact, OVL is a structure taken over by a handful of people that is used as the lawyer of the corrupt PDK government, a propaganda branch of the Pronto clan.
It is the subject of another article to understand how the most brilliant period of Albanian history ended up in the hands of a certain Hysni Gucati, while all the living heroes of the KLA have been scattered among four parties for years. Daut Haradinaj, the youngest and most famous general of the liberation war, told them bluntly in a television debate: you do not represent me.
But how is the KLA related to the protest on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard where Edi Rama's suffocation is taking its toll? I believe you remember when the protest from a snowball in Nartë took on the proportions of a human avalanche in Tirana and in the paid television studios the question was repeated in panic: who are the organizers? Who is the leader? They had clearly received the message.
Find a head to cut off. Either by buying it or by delegitimizing it. It is known how the protest for the demolition of the Theater died down. I believe you remember the scene in the courtroom where one of the most famous Albanian actors played the most mediocre role of his life, drooling over Erjon Veli.
The protesters refuse to negotiate. They simply demand their resignation. In this situation, the government was left with no other option, delegitimization. And the moment came. Two days ago, Dritan Goxhaj read the protesters' five points. All the propaganda artillery opened fire. The first person Rama brought to the stage was Hysni Gucati. A letter written in Word 2007, signed by Commander Plaku in March 1999, was made public. Commander Plaku has been dead for 20 years and cannot be replaced.
They didn't stop there. From the KLA archive, a pay list was taken or fabricated with the names of several officers from Albania who participated in the liberation war. To certify this list of Guxati, someone who probably hadn't even been born yet was brought to the screen during the war.
A certain Kryeziu, with a gold pendant around his neck thicker than his finger, worth perhaps more than all the stamps listed on the list, thundered: Dritan Goxhaj and his father are not warriors, they are mercenaries.
Meanwhile, Rama hoped that the algorithm would be lifted. But at least in Kosovo, I don't believe it has been lifted. Two weeks ago, Kosovo Albanians saw this Kryeziu clashing with the police while preventing the demolition of a gas station built without a permit on state land at the entrance to Pristina. He was also a candidate for deputy of the PDK. He did not manage to be elected. But a few hours after he insulted Goxhaj, he appeared on the screens again. This time accusing his party of stealing votes.
The attack against Goxhaj is not a major problem. Both father and son are alive, and have the opportunity to defend their past and present. At the top of the pay list, a list that Balla and Guxati dropped like cows dropping dung, was the name of the hero Tahir Sinani, commander in the last three Albanian wars.
If the KLA archive is misused for party interests, to maintain occult and corrupt power at any cost, we would be undoing our history. Because it is truly cynical that those who are looking for mercenaries from Albania are precisely those who are accused of buying tens of hectares of land during the war with the funds collected for it.
This story must be closed immediately. Once and for all. The pages of the KLA Archive, the most heroic part of Albanian history, must not be left in the hands of Hysniu or Taulant to use as packaging for propaganda sausages or soufflés. From The Hague, Thaçi and Veseli must order that the KLA Archive be handed over to the state of Kosovo.
