The traditional White House Correspondents' Dinner will take place on July 24, after the event was canceled due to a shooting that rocked Washington.
US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will attend the rescheduled event and will deliver a speech to the attendees.
"I don't know whether or not I'll make the same rather unpleasant statements, at least as far as certain people are concerned, but we'll find out soon. It's going to be a 'hot' ticket, anyway!" Trump said.
The venue for the event has not yet been officially decided. Traditionally, the dinner was held at the Washington Hilton, but security concerns following recent events have raised questions about using the same venue.
Trump himself has stated that the event could be moved to the Waldorf Astoria hotel, a property previously owned by the Trump Organization.
Meanwhile, the president of the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), Weijia Jiang, announced in an email to reporters that details on the location, tickets and program will be made public in the coming days.
Trump attended this year's dinner for the first time as president and had requested that the ceremony be rescheduled within 30 days of the cancellation, a deadline that has now been exceeded.
The event was canceled after a serious shooting incident. Last month, Cole Thomas Allen, the suspect in the attack, pleaded not guilty in court to charges including "attempted assassination of the president," "assault on a federal officer," and other firearms-related offenses.
