The eldest son of the American president appreciates the economic potential of the neighboring country, while not ruling out the interest of international investors in Greek strategic sectors.
Donald Trump Jr. considers Greece one of the countries with high development potential in the region, highlighting tourism, energy, maritime transport and the real estate market as sectors with strong growth prospects.
During an interview held at an international economic forum in Switzerland, the Trump Organization executive vice president said that Greece's geographical position and natural assets give it significant competitive advantages. According to him, the country is increasingly attracting the attention of foreign investors and is showing significant opportunities in the fields of hospitality, infrastructure and luxury properties.
"I see a country with great potential. It is strategically located and has tremendous advantages in tourism, shipping, energy and real estate. The resilience of the Greek people over the years has been truly impressive," Trump Jr. emphasizes.
As for potential investments by the Trump Organization in Europe or Greece, he states that there is nothing planned at the moment, adding that “Europe is always an important market and Greece is certainly attracting more and more international interest these days.
"Any serious investment depends on long-term stability, opportunities and growth potential, but Greece has some very attractive sectors, especially tourism, hospitality, luxury real estate and infrastructure," he concludes.
However, Trump Jr. clarified that the family company does not currently have concrete investment plans in Greece or other parts of Europe. He stressed that any major project depends on long-term stability, the business climate and market potential.
In his assessment, Greece remains a country of strategic importance not only for the economy, but also for the role it plays in maritime transport, energy and regional stability. He also underlined the traditional ties between Athens and Washington, which according to him have created a strong basis for economic and cultural cooperation over the years.
Trump Jr., who leads part of the Trump Organization's global activities in the real estate sector, assessed that markets that combine tourism development with investments in infrastructure and energy will remain among the most attractive for international capital in the coming years.
