Although he was recently sanctioned by the US, Dodik seems to have found the right 'threads' to approach the Trump administration. In a post on the social network "X", Dodik said that Trump's policy has created a new stability in international relations and that he has a rational and pragmatic approach.

"We had a very productive conversation at the White House with Caroline Leavitt, President Donald Trump's spokeswoman. President Trump's policy of returning America to the principles of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, his clearly stated abandonment of nation-building projects, and the fact that he uses power to preserve and achieve peace, not to create chaos, brings a new stability to international relations."
"His rational and pragmatic approach, where partners are evaluated according to the respect they show for agreements and not according to who they can be used against, represents a turning point that gives hope that the world is entering a more peaceful and responsible phase of international politics. Republika Srpska has always been a supporter of this policy ," Dodik writes.
