Protests in Tirana/ Rama: Albania will be done as I say, not as you shout
Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again to the protests taking place in Tirana by citizens who are against the construction of the resort in Zvërnec.
While releasing a video interview of a citizen who insults and threatens with death, the head of government emphasizes that Albania will be built according to the vision that was voted for by the majority of citizens in the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
Yesterday, in parallel with the first hours of the rally, Rama held a meeting with socialists in Tirana, within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party.
Protests against the Zvërnec project have been ongoing for several days, following an incident in which a protester was assaulted in Vlora by employees of a private security company protecting the construction site. Citizens are demanding a halt to the project, as they say it violates the protected area of the Narta Lagoon.
"Tourists will take us, we should be worried"/ The reason behind the Greek media's attention to Zvërnec
Jared Kushner's giant project in Zvërnec and Pishe Poro is not only being discussed in Albania. In recent weeks, it has also occupied an important place in the Greek media, which are increasingly treating it as a development with a direct impact on the region's tourism balance.
In a chronicle broadcast by the Greek television Star Channel, journalists openly say that behind the great interest in this project lies a strong reason: competition! According to them, the investment of over 4 billion dollars has the potential to transform the Albanian coast and attract a category of tourists who have so far chosen Greek destinations.
The Greek media are not hiding their concern that Albania is entering a new phase of tourism development. Their interest is not the protection of Albanian nature, but the Greek economy. Kushner's project envisages the development of an area of about 2.5 million square meters in the area of Zvërnec and Pishe Poros, an investment that according to analysts could change not only the local economy, but also the tourism balance.
Meanwhile, the other journalist clearly states that this investment is very large for the Albanian economy and this plan brings concern for the Greek islands located in the Ionian Sea, such as Corfu and Kefalonia.
This is precisely the element that is dominating the debate in Greece. The chronicle mentions islands such as Corfu and Kefalonia, which for decades have been consolidated tourist destinations in the region. Now, with the arrival of large international investments in Albania, a new competitor is being created that aims to attract tourists with high incomes and luxury investments.

SPAK tërhiqet nga Zvërneci/ Lirohen llogaritë bankare të investitorëve nga Katari
Pas tre ditëve bllokim me kërkesë të SPAK, 195 milionë dollarë të destinuara për resortin në Zvërnec janë zhbllokuar.
SPAK ka liruar llogaritë që e vëllezërve miliarderë nga Katari, Ramez dhe Mohamad Al-Khayyat. Megjithatë, mësohet se SPAK vijon hetimet për çështjen e pronësisë së tokës.
Më herët edhe kryeministri Rama doli kundër SPAK-ut dhe bëri thirrje që të mos bllokonte investitorët e huaj dhe që të vijonte hetimet për çështjet e pronësisë. SPAK sekuestroi edhe llogaritë bankare të kompanisë “Albania Land Development”, në kuadër të një hetimi për një skemë të dyshuar të tjetërsimit të pronave në zonën e Zvërnecit.
Një nga administratorët e kompanisë, Redi Struga, i është nënshtruar kontrollit nga agjentët e Byrosë Kombëtare të Hetimit (BKH), si pjesë e veprimeve hetimore që po zhvillohen nga SPAK. Hetimet dyshohet se lidhen me një mekanizëm të mundshëm për kalimin e pronave shtetërore në duar private.
Në qendër të hetimit përmendet Artur Shehu, i cili aktualisht jeton në Shtetet e Bashkuara. Sipas burimeve hetimore, ai dyshohet se ka pasur rol drejtues në skemën e pretenduar të tjetërsimit të pronave.
‘Albania Land Development’, rezulton të ketë blerë sipërfaqet e tokës mbi të cilën do të realizohet projekti. Ajo fillimisht, ishte në pronësi të Redi Strugës, i cili pasi e shiti, u emërua një nga tre administratorët e kompanisë, por me të drejtë të kufizuar të firmës.
Dosja “21 Janari”/ SPAK nisi në SHBA komunikimet e Gardës, familjarët skeptikë
Në kuadër të hetimeve për dosjen e masakrës së “21 janarit”, Prokuroria e Posaçme ka dërguar për ekspertizë të gjithë materialin e komunikimit në radio në kanalin e Gardës së Republikës më 21 janar 2011 ku katër protestues u vranë në Bulevardin “Dëshmorët e Kombit” gjatë qeverisjes Berisha.
Mark Nika, xhaxhai i Aleks Nikës, një prej 4 të vrarëve nga armët e shtetit, thotë se ky hap duhet të ishte marrë nga SPAK shumë kohë më parë, dhe të mos e mbanin kasetën në sirtar. Xhaxhai i Aleks Nikës dyshon se drejtësia shqiptare synon të mos dënojë shkaktarin e vërtetë të 4 vrasjeve shtetërore, por aktorë dytësorë në masakrën e 21 janarit 2011.
SPAK has been investigating the 4 murders of protesters on the boulevard for almost 2 years, since July 15, 2024, when it registered the case after the Supreme Court ordered the launch of the investigation. Since then, SPAK has questioned a number of former senior state officials who were in office at the time of the incident. Former President Bamir Topi, former Interior Minister Lulzim Basha, and former President Ilir Meta, who was questioned at his request, have appeared before the prosecutors. Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, also, after a failed attempt to delay his testimony, appeared before SPAK on November 19 of last year. Since then, no new developments have been communicated by the Special Prosecution.
