The storm and strong wind that hit our country this afternoon has caused trees to fall in the city of Pogradec and its surroundings.
Dozens of uprooted trees and fallen tents blocked several city streets for several minutes, but were quickly cleared to normalize the situation.
It is reported that there are several groups on the ground working to minimize the damage and improve the situation.

Also, a powerful fire has broken out in the Udënishti area, spreading rapidly due to strong winds. As a result, the Police have blocked the traffic on the Pogradec exit to Qafë-Thane, for the safety of passers-by and to enable the work of the firefighting forces.
After several hours of work, firefighters and service workers were able to extinguish and isolate the flames.
One of the restaurants in the area suffered significant damage, including a fire in the kitchen, but thanks to the intervention of firefighters, the rest of the building was saved. The biggest danger was a gas station, which added to the difficulties in extinguishing the flames.
According to initial investigations, the cause of the fire was a problem in an electrical cabinet in the area.

A low-voltage pole has fallen in the village of Guras in Pogradec. It is learned that this is a private line and that there are no subscribers without electricity. OSHEE teams are on the ground to monitor the situation closely.
