On the eve of the Orthodox Easter holiday, the flow of travelers at the Kapshtica border crossing has increased significantly, where Albanian authorities have taken measures to cope with the situation.
According to official sources, the Albanian side has increased the number of counters in operation to avoid the creation of long queues and waits. Currently, 5 counters operate at the entrance to the Albanian territory, while only 1 at the exit.
The highest flow has been recorded at the entrance to Albania. Authorities say that, thanks to the organization and maximum opening of counters, the creation of long queues has been avoided so far.
Meanwhile, the situation is different on the Greek side, where according to passengers, waits have reached up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Border authorities continue to monitor the situation, warning that the flow is expected to increase further in the coming days due to the holidays.
