Greece seems to have decided to declare all Albanian journalists persona non grata. In addition to Artan Hoxha, it seems that journalist Aulon Kalaja, who ran for MP in the recent elections, has also been declared "non grata".
In fact, he was declared persona non grata years ago, but it was quietly passed over as a case. Kalaja told "TCH" that his planned family vacation in the summer of 2019 in the Greek state was ruined because, without being aware of the decision-making at the border, he was notified that he was declared persona non grata, without giving any reason for the decision.
" They stopped me and declared me non grata for the rest of my life. They stopped me and gave me a sheet categorizing me as an H persona non grata. Without explaining the reasons to me, but I believe it has to do with two moments: the protests I organized against the sea agreement and a documentary about the murders of Albanians in Greece. It is unfair because my activity is never extremist ," said Aulon Kalaja.
Aulon's efforts to obtain the detention file have been futile, he says. He has been faced with a lack of information and the withdrawal of lawyers to pursue the legal case in the Greek state, in order to have the opportunity to further seek his innocence in Strasbourg.
