Democratic Party MP Isuf Çelaj says a great danger threatens the residents of the Fierza area in Tropoja.
Through a Facebook post, he published a message from a resident, who denounces the risk of falling giant stones on the Fierzë-Bajram Curri axis, specifically in the village of Gegëhysen.
According to the citizen, the large stones are on the verge of falling on the national road and could cause tragedy at any moment. He says that the residents of the area use this road every day and that despite calls to the Tropoja Municipality, no measures have been taken.
Residents warn that, in the absence of intervention, they will organize a protest by blocking the road and the entrance to the Fierza HPP. They demand the support of the MP and the notification of the responsible institutions.
"It won't cost much. This risk can be removed in one working day!" Çelaj wrote in his reaction, calling on state structures to act immediately.
The MP requests urgent intervention from Civil Emergencies, Tropoja Municipality, and the Emergency Unit in Kukës Prefecture, to avoid a serious incident in the Demushajve area of Gegëhysen.
Residents expect a quick response, while the situation is assessed as an emergency that can be resolved within a day, if institutions move.
