Lawyer Romeo Kara, prosecutor in the Çez-DIA case, for which Ilir Meta is also accused, has declared that he will face the former President in the GJKKO.
Kara made the comments on the show 'Repolitix', where he said that he will go as a witness to the GJKKO and is open to answering any questions from the former President, but also from the judges.
Kara further commented on the clashes between Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi during today's session at the GJKKO, saying that the former President apparently married for convenience.
"Now when the problem with the wife and the wife's people arises and you seek evil in Romeo? No, no. Good comes from above and evil comes from yourself. This is a little difficult. Here, people in the party have come for this job. But the bad thing is that the wife is also married to him for interest. That we are understanding this now. I will be a witness. He seems to be very anxious for me to go and I will go with great pleasure. He will ask questions and I will answer, with the greatest pleasure, to him and the Court", said, among other things, lawyer Romeo Kara.
Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi clashed in the next session at the Special Court, where they are accused of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. Harsh with Kryemadhi, Meta distanced himself from the messages found on his ex-wife's cell phone, where he shared percentages of the profit with her cousin Shatku. The next session will be held on July 9 at 10:00.
