Meanwhile, today's match is expected to be attended by a limited number of fans. The first meeting between the two national teams took place in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. In November 2016, Israel won 3-0 in Albania. However, the red and black team responded in the return match, triumphing by the same result on the road in June 2017.
The two teams met again in the first edition of the Nations League in 2018. Albania won 1-0 at home, while Israel got their revenge a month later with a 2-0 success on their home field.
