A 21-year-old footballer, Kubilaj Kan Kundakçi, has lost his life after a gun attack in Istanbul. The serious incident occurred when an unidentified person opened fire on the vehicle in which the young man was travelling.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred suddenly, leaving the footballer seriously injured.
Foreign media reports that Kundakçi was indirectly involved in a conflict between a rapper and his ex-girlfriend, a singer. He turns out to have been friends with both and is suspected of trying to intervene to calm the situation at the time of the incident.
After the shooting, the 21-year-old was rushed to a hospital in Istanbul. However, despite the intervention of doctors, he did not survive his injuries and died.
Turkish authorities are expected to clarify the full circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of the attack. So far, there is no official information on motives or possible arrests.
