Egnatia has secured qualification for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, after convincingly defeating Petrocub with a score of 6-1 in the return match, held in Rrogozhina.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the Albanian champions completely dominated the return leg. Goals for the team led by Nevil Dede were scored by Bitri, Albanese, Yago, Bakayoko and Ildi Gruda, while another goal came as a result of an own goal by Platica. For the Moldovan friends, the only goal was scored by Rotaru.
With this spectacular victory, Egnatia advances to the next stage of the Champions League, where a much more difficult challenge awaits them. In the second qualifying round, the team from Rrogozhina will face the Slovenian champions, Celje, in a duel that on paper is considered quite strong for the Albanian team.
