Moments of panic and fear were recorded in the Colombian football elite during the Independiente Santa Fe – Atletico Nacional match.
The 29-year-old defender, Andres Felipe Roman, fell to the ground unconscious after just 12 minutes of play.
Many fans remembered what happened to Christian Eriksen on June 12, 2021 with Denmark at the European Championship, when he suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch.
Roman was next to teammate Manuel Zapata. He first grabbed his head, then touched his nose and fell to the ground after taking a few steps back.
He was given medical attention and then got back on his feet. He even announced that he is in good health. Atletico Nacional won the match with a score of 2-1.
