The coach of the Kosovo national team, Franko Foda, appeared at a press conference this Tuesday on the eve of the match against Slovakia, which will take place on March 26. During the conference, he also addressed the issue of defender Bujar Pllana, who has decided to join the Albanian national team.
Pllana, who was previously part of the Kosovo U-21 national team, is not included in the current plans of the Dardanian team. Asked about this situation, Foda stressed that the selection of players was made based on a certain group that has contributed so far.
" Bujar Pllana? We have followed him closely in his matches and we have decided on a different group of players. Each one has contributed to getting us where we are and each one is important for their position ," Foda declared.
Regarding the player's decision to represent Albania, the Kosovo coach stated that this is a personal choice, emphasizing the importance of dedication to the Kosovo jersey.
" If he has decided for Albania, then it is his decision. I have always said that when they play for Kosovo, they should play with heart ," he added.
Kosovo will face Slovakia in an important match, while the focus of the technical staff remains on the current group of players and preparation for the next challenge.
