Diego Armando Maradona has always attracted attention for his unusual personality and character. Among the many stories that have remained in the collective imagination, his daughter added another. Invited to the radio program "Perros de la calle" of "Urbana Play", Dalma Maradona recalled the day when her father tried to surprise her with a special and completely unexpected gift.
" I was 11 years old, I was walking down the street and I said: How beautiful this car is. How to say: What a beautiful dog. There were still two months left until my 12th birthday. That day came, April 2. My father called me and said: Come to the service station, I have a surprise for your birthday. It could be anything. I went and found a 'New Beetle. Of course I returned it. I asked him why I had to keep it when I I couldn't use it, I was only 12 years old .
Dalma continued her story:
" My father said that since I had once told him it was a nice car, he had thought of giving it to me. When I told him I couldn't drive it, he replied: Well, let your friends drive it. I told him they were all my age. When I returned the car to him, his first reaction was: You're mean. And yet, he called me ungrateful. I handed him the keys. Two and a half months later he realized what I was doing. He apologized and said he understood that I needed something else ."
Meanwhile, after the cancellation of the first trial due to the scandal involving the judge who was secretly filming a documentary on the case, the trial into the death of Diego Armando Maradona is set to resume in Argentina. The Court of Appeals in San Isidro, in the province of Buenos Aires, held a draw on Thursday, June 19, to determine the new panel of judges. The case will be heard by Criminal Court No. 3, composed of judges Alberto Gaig, Alejandro Lago and Alberto Ortolani.
The parties now have 15 days to file any requests for exceptions or objections. If there are no obstacles, the first hearing date will be set for the presentation of evidence and the witness list.
