This is the sensational winning project of the "Niko Dovana" Stadium in Durrës, which will completely change the stadium area.
The Albanian Investment Corporation (which will implement the project) and Mayor Emiriana Sako have shared a video of the project, which shows that it is not just for the stadium, but for the entire surrounding area.
As seen in the video, the project includes a new sports palace, giant swimming pools on the property, and a community center.
“ The new 'Niko Dovana' Stadium in Durrës, together with the new Sports Palace, the new swimming pool and the community center, all designed by internationally renowned architecture studios 51N4E & Plan Común, transform undeveloped public properties into modern, functional and community-open sports spaces ,” the post reads.
The properties dedicated to this project reach a total area of 76,161.75 m2, consisting of sports fields with an area of 34,879.27 m2, squares of 23,700.98 m2, land of 8,128.26 m2, roads of 4,330.03 m2 and sidewalks of 5,123.21 m2.

The similarity of the new stadium will be with "La Bombonera" in Argentina, the stadium of Boca Juniors.
This project (51N4E Project (Belgium)) will conceive the stadium as part of the city where community life will be intertwined not only with the city, but also with the activities and sports that the new stadium will offer.
" We have thought about building green spaces, turning the stadium into a training ground and park. To hold youth training and exercises, and for children not to go to another place to train but to do it in their city in front of the stadium. We aim for the stadium to be active 7 days a week, where people can walk near the area and create pedestrian walkways that connect it to the city and be surrounded by green parks ," said the studio representative at the time.
-There will be basketball and football training fields, two swimming pools, one outdoor and one indoor.
-The stadium will be below ground level so that the city is an inclusive part of the panorama when entering the stadium
-Around the stadium, cultural and sports centers, hotels, offices and shopping centers are planned to be built.
-A center for the development of conventions and the National Film Festival will be built.
Korça will also have a new stadium and the winning project has been announced as 'Cebra Architecture'. The modern infrastructure will serve the cities, but also Albania, where the ambition is to host the finals of the European Youth Championship.
