Sports moderator Albana Bejko has made public the conversations that, according to her, the doctor from Kosovo — Behari — had been sending her for months, with whom she has already confronted the police.
In a recent post and during an interview on the show "Goca & Gra", Albana shared with the public messages where he expressed obsessive love for her and asked her to marry him.
"He wrote to me every day, on every possible social network. He even told me that we should get married. I was anxious, I felt threatened," Bejko said.
The moderator emphasized that the persecution had crossed all limits, making her feel under constant psychological pressure.
"I only took him seriously when he started following me physically, not just online. It was a very difficult period for me," she added in the confession.
The event continues to be one of the most talked about in Albanian showbiz at the moment, while the release of the messages is expected to shed more light on the true relationship between Bejko and the Kosovar doctor.
The prosecutor has ordered the immediate release from prison 302 in Tirana of psychiatrist Behar Kamberi, who was arrested for harassing sports moderator Albana Bejko.
According to the prosecution, Kamber's arrest by the police was deemed illegal.
The 42-year-old doctor from Kosovo was suspected of constantly following the moderator, often appearing near her apartment, which caused her great concern.
The moderator had collaborated with the police to organize a meeting in an area of Tirana, where Kamberi was invited to appear. The moment he arrived, officers from Police Station No. 2 intervened and arrested him.
The investigative file includes several messages sent by the doctor, where he expressed his feelings towards the moderator with phrases such as:
"I love you, I want to marry you"
"I came from Kosovo just to see you."
However, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office has assessed these messages as ordinary sentimental communication and not as a threat or intimidation that jeopardized the moderator's safety.
On this basis, Kamberi's immediate release was ordered, while the investigation will continue at large.
During his testimony to the police, the psychiatrist stated through tears that he had come to Tirana only to express his feelings towards Bejko and that he had never threatened him.
"It's not fair to be in prison just because I liked a girl," he said.
Kamberi and Bejko knew each other before and had a friendly relationship. They have been seen together in stadiums, as they share the same passion for football.
But the doctor's feelings seem to have turned into a one-sided love, which crossed the boundaries of reason.
Although the case in Albania has been described as "light", sources from Kosovo report that the doctor has been previously reported for stalking, persistent and unwanted behavior towards girls.
In medical circles, he is described as a person who has displayed similar obsessions several times, without having a criminal record for physical or sexual assault.
