"Before I turned 16, I took to the streets of the city, I ran away alone with friends without telling my parents. We ran away at night and followed a very difficult path. Fear... the moment we entered it was very dark, groups of Albanians, when the military police were unleashed on us and they did a terrible thing, in a word, with guns shooting and electric shocks.
We ran away and the next day the police followed us from behind, we threw away the bags of bread. We stayed for four days and nights without bread. We ate whatever we found on the road, fruit, we felt like vomiting. Then there were other cases where we were caught at the border and we had to leave again.
"I was caught by the Greek police, I spent a week behind bars. They were racist towards us, the first 2-3 days are very difficult, but then you get used to it. The moment they caught me, they beat me, I suffered ," he told "TCH".
