A disturbing incident in Poland has exposed a deliberate workplace poisoning scheme. A cleaner, Małgorzata W., 56, was filmed pouring toxic chemicals into her colleague's tea, an act that continued for several weeks.
The footage shows the woman approaching the shelf of cleaning products, selecting a bottle of green chemical liquid and spraying the substance into the teacup, then stirring it with a spoon. She also tried to hide her fingerprints and repeated the action several times.
The victim, a 51-year-old woman, became suspicious when the drinks she left unattended changed color and taste. Repeated poisoning caused her severe internal burns. To find the culprit, she set up a hidden camera that recorded the actions of the cleaner.
The Warsaw court confirmed that Małgorzata W. had been poisoning her colleague for about six weeks, using cleaning products and detergents mixed into her drinks. The victim experienced severe symptoms, including stomach pain, difficulty breathing, a burning sensation in the throat and fainting.
Doctors later confirmed that she had suffered severe chemical burns to her mouth, esophagus and stomach. Laboratory tests showed that cleaning products and detergents had been added to the tea, while experts warned that consuming these chemicals could have fatal consequences. In one of the recordings, the woman is heard talking on the phone to a friend and saying ominously that the tea is there, so I know what that means.
Moments later, she added another toxic substance to her colleague's drink. Another woman, identified as Elzbieta D., was acquitted after prosecutors claimed she knew about the poisoning scheme but failed to alert authorities. Investigators said both women worked for a cleaning company that provided services at the Polish Radio building on Mysliwiecka Street in Warsaw. According to the investigation, tensions between them began after the victim began criticizing her colleague's mistakes at work.
For these actions, the cleaner was sentenced to six years in prison and fined a large sum of money, serving as a serious warning about workplace safety and the dangers of intentional poisoning.
