What happened with the release of the movie "Deadpool & Wolverine" around the world had never happened before in the history of the movie. As a 'Rated-R' film worldwide, these films usually do not have the same turnout as there is an age restriction and are not preferred for children.
Given Deadpool's nature of being extremely crude, the 'Merc with a Mouth' needs an R rating in order to enjoy his character as creator Rob Liefeld envisioned when he first drew Deadpool.
But that adult rating didn't seem to matter this time around, as "Deadpool & Wolverine" opened with an unheard-of €400 million.
The film has already crossed 500 million euros and the second weekend is looking stronger than ever for an 'R-Rated' film.
The film is gathering so many people in the theaters, and this leads us to believe that there may be a chance that "Deadpool & Wolverine" will not only reach 1 billion euros at the box office, but also try to earn 2 billion euros.
This would make it the first R-rated (highest) film to reach this number.
