Rita Ora arrived yesterday in Kosovo accompanied by her husband, who visited Pristina for the first time. She and Taika Waititi were welcomed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the famous director shared his first impressions of her hometown.
"It is my first time here and I am honored to come to visit my wife's homeland. The attitude and energy here is very similar to the people I'm from, so I feel at home already," said Waititi, who is originally from New Zealand.
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi met for the first time in 2018, at a barbecue that Taika organized at his house in LA However, it was not until 2021, when the two were filming in Australia, that they started dating. Rita proposed while vacationing in Palm Springs in the summer of 2022, and they planned an impromptu wedding that took place in Los Angeles a few weeks later on August 4.
