The relationship between Casandra "Cassie" Ventura and rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs became a topic of discussion during a confrontation between his former assistant, Capricorn Clark, and Combs' lawyers, where she was considering returning to the staff. This conversation between them led to the former assistant of P.Diddy being called as a witness in the trial being held against the latter.
"Cassie wanted to hook up with Jay Z"
During cross-examination by Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, Clark testified that during a conversation with Cassie, he had told her that she should break up with Combs and date someone else, considering their relationship.
Cassie, according to her, had replied: "Jay-Z is busy. Who else should I go out with?" Although she testified to this sentence with complete conviction, she did not specify exactly when this conversation had taken place.
Earlier in the day, Clark also testified that in December 2011, Combs went to her house with a gun and asked her to accompany him to kill Kid Cudi (real name: Scott Mescudi). He was angry because Cudi had had a brief affair with Cassie while she and Combs were going through a breakup after their 11-year relationship.
Diddy is currently facing serious charges, including sexual assault, participation in a criminal organization, and exploitation of prostitution. He has denied all charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison. He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest.
