Former President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted to statements circulating in political circles that she is only meeting citizens these days and had not done so during her presidential mandate.
Through a video published on Facebook, Osmani has published footage from visits to various municipalities during his time in office, aiming to refute these claims.
"Since there are people within politics who are complaining about why I'm meeting with citizens these days, and some are even misinforming me that I haven't done this before, here's the truth ," she says in the video.
According to Osmani, her engagement in the field has been continuous throughout her five-year mandate. She emphasizes that she has regularly visited municipalities, met with citizens, and supported various social groups, including marginalized groups.
"During my five years in office, I have constantly visited municipalities, met citizens, and been close to the people of this country ," she says, adding that the connection with citizens will remain at the foundation of her political commitment.
It also remains unclear what Osmani's next step in the political scene will be. It is not known whether she will join the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) or create a new political entity for the upcoming elections.
