The plenary session in the Parliament is expected to begin in a few minutes, while protesters have been gathering in front of the Parliament building for about two hours.
As the deputies arrived, some protesters threw eggs at their vehicles. Eggs and tomatoes were also thrown at State Police officers, who responded with water cannons to disperse the crowd.
The clash caused the protesters to disperse for a few minutes, but they then regrouped in front of the Parliament, where they continued the rally.
Meanwhile, despite the protest outside Parliament, Democratic Party deputies led by Sali Berisha have entered the Parliament premises to participate in the plenary session, without boycotting it.
"The only responsible act of it is to declare its end, its dissolution and pave the way for the solution that all Albanian youth and citizens are seeking. Any other act is ultimately worthless, and therefore we are demanding today the self-declaration, the dissolution of this parliament. This is the only right decision that the parliament can take today," said Sali Berisha.
