The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, has accused the majority of suppressing the opposition voice. According to Noka, this legislature has started in a shameful manner and the Assembly has turned into a farce under the control of the Prime Minister. He stated that the Speaker of Parliament has become a slave of the Prime Minister.
Noka stated that the balance of power in Albania has been broken and that the country has been transformed into a prime ministerial republic.
"This legislature has started in a shameful way, the aim is to eliminate the opposition voice. The parliament is being led by Edi Rama. He was the one who indicated what the opposition should do. He decided who should speak and who should not. The speaker of the parliament has become a slave to the prime minister. Rama pointed the finger at the opposition, Edi Rama gave the floor to the avatar, this is to rape the temple of free speech. In this country, everything is decided by the prime minister. The balance of powers in Albania has been broken. We are a prime ministerial republic. Rama has all the avatars, he decides everything himself. The parliament is carrying on a farce, because the elections were also a farce.
"The ministers and deputies of the Socialist Party are forbidden to think. Freedom and democracy have died in the Socialist Party, they dare not say a single word contrary to what the prime minister says. The opposition has the floor, and this prime minister is trying to take that away ," said Noka.
