The professor of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Pristina and the artist Shyqri Nimani, who is known as the author of the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo, has passed away.

Nimani was born in 1941 in Shkodër. Among other things, Nimani was also the founder of the Department of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Arts at the "Hasan Prishtina" University, the director of the National Gallery of Kosovo, the author of some of the logos of the country's most important institutions and the author of the Declaration of Independence.

Niman's family members announced the news of his death. In today's session of the Assembly of Kosovo, the deputies present held a minute of silence in his memory.
