The first episode of the Albanian series "The Prosecutor" comes to Tirana cinemas from October 10, directed by Fatmir Doga and produced by Ylli Ujka and Česk Ivanaj. The film focuses on justice reform and shows the struggle of a prosecutor to face organized crime and corrupt politicians.
The film also stars the well-known Hollywood actor Danny Glover, who plays the role of the American ambassador to Albania. Director Fatmir Doga and actor Enea Nika were invited to "Morning ABC", where they gave more details about the series. Doga says that they intend to attract the attention of Netflix with the series.
The series will have 5 seasons with 12 episodes each.
"The film will be serialized. This is the first part, where the 'seeds' are planted. When I came I had something else in mind, he offered me to do something different. I had this concept and it was called the prosecutor because he is from beginning to end the pivot of everything that happens in Albania. Albanian dominates the film because the events take place in Albania and Kosovo. Danny Glover plays the role of the American ambassador to Albania.
That night, two people from Netflix and HBO will come to see the impact that the film will have on the Albanian public," said the director.
