The 60th edition of the Venice Biennale/Albania with representatives, Kosovo

The Venice Biennale, in its 60th edition, also had our Albanian representative, Iva Lulashi.

"Love as a Glass of Water" is the exhibition curated by Antonio Grulli, bringing our pavilion in the form of the artist's own apartment, on the walls of which are her paintings: erotic, provocative, sometimes sad. It is a theory related to the idea of ​​the sexual revolution, where impulses are seen as a simple human need to be fulfilled with the ease of drinking a glass of water.

At the awards ceremony of the International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, the Kosovo pavilion with Doruntina Kastrati's sculptural installation "Ringing Silences of Metal and Leather" was awarded with 'Special Recognition', in the category of awards that are given to state representation.

Artist Archie Moore with the Australia Pavilion has been awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Entry at La Biennale de Venezia 2024. It is the first time an Australian artist has received this award.

The macro-theme of this edition of the Venice Biennale, April 20 - November 24, is "Strangers everywhere" and comes under the artistic direction of Brazilian curator Adriano Pedrosa.

The 2024 Venice Biennale features more than 330 participating artists from around 90 countries spread across the city.
