Footage of the tragic accident that occurred this Wednesday afternoon at the TEG roundabout, where the driver and passenger of a concrete pump truck lost their lives, has been published.
From the footage provided, the concrete mixer appears to enter the overpass at speed, collide with an Audi-type vehicle and then break through the protective metal barriers, falling from the overpass.
According to sources, the two people who lost their lives as a result of this tragic accident who were in the truck are Egyptian citizens. For this reason, their identities have not yet been officially confirmed, while the authorities are continuing verifications.
One of them died at the scene, while the other, although taken to the hospital, did not survive his injuries and died a few hours later.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Audi vehicle, the 28-year-old with the initials RN, was injured, but his life is out of danger.
The full circumstances of the accident remain under investigation, as the investigation team is working to determine the exact cause and dynamics of the event.
We remind you that this is not the first serious accident on this overpass. About three years ago, in the same area, an Audi vehicle fell from the overpass, causing a tragedy in which three young people lost their lives: Erisilda Abedini, Sikela Përroi and 20-year-old Klevis Ruçaj.
