The footage shows that the former head of Vlora's traffic department, Ardian Isufi, together with Leart Bimon, a person with a serious criminal record, exercised physical violence against a young waiter, just because he had brought a bottle of water to the table more than the order.
A shocking event occurred yesterday evening in the Skela area of Vlora, on the premises of a well-known hotel, where a waiter was brutally attacked during working hours, in the presence of local and foreign customers, by an off-duty police officer and a person with a criminal past.
Sources from the scene and video footage show that the former head of Vlora's traffic police, Ardian Isufi, together with Leart Bimon, a person with a serious criminal record, exercised physical and verbal violence against a young waiter, just because he had brought one more bottle of water to the table than the order.
According to witnesses, Isufi was seen approaching the waiter in a threatening manner, while Leart Bimo then physically attacked him several times, seriously endangering the young man's life. The violence was committed in front of customers who fled the bar, terrified by the scene.
Meanwhile, the young man has filed a police report and has been questioned by Vlora police, along with other hotel employees and witnesses.
According to him, the argument started at the table, where Isufi and Bimo claimed that the waiter had sent them an extra bottle of water. There they began to insult him and then followed him from the table to the counter, where they also resorted to violence.
"My name is Ron Balaj, I'm eighteen years old, I work here at Regina Garden. Two gentlemen came, sat down at the table. Someone else took the order and I was simply told to take the order. The order was a large bottle of water, a small bottle, a macchiato. I took it to the table and the other guy just tells me to bring some water. Yes, brother, I'll take the water away, I said. Chess and other times. I took the water away from the table, I told him brother, I'll take the water away, but there's no need to swear, because the other guy did it unintentionally too. The two men come and follow me to the counter. No, why is that, no, why is that, he comes and grabs me by the hand, no, why are you talking so much nonsense. I said, brother, please don't grab me by the hand. The manager was there, please don't grab me by the hand. The other guy comes from behind and hits me three times. The first time with a slap and the other two with a punch, right "in the middle of the bar there, because I brought him an extra can. That's all," he says.
The waiter who took the order at the table where the police officer and his friend, known to the underworld, were, also testified to the police.
"I went to get the order, they told me to bring me a small water, a large water and a coffee. I took the order and because we had a lot of cargo, the other boy took it. He said I didn't tell you about the small water and cursed at me. The boy told him as a human being there is no need to insult us. They went and shot him," he says.
So far, there has been no official reaction from the Vlora Police.
What makes the situation even more serious is the suspicion that the violence may have been organized, with the aim of intimidating and sabotaging business activity. All this is happening in a tourist city, in high season, when citizens and visitors seek security and instead face brutal violence from people who should be the guarantors of the law.
Where are the institutions?
SHÇBA- Why wasn't Ardian Isufi suspended immediately?
Vlora Prosecution Office - Will it register criminal proceedings for violence, intimidation, and violation of public order?
Will the police distance themselves from officers who stain their uniforms?
Tourism in Vlora - Who is responsible when an honest employee is beaten in front of tourists in the middle of a bar?
This is not an incident, it is an event of violence against a young man who has left home to provide income for his family while crime and uniforms share the same table!
