A photo of 32-year-old Marselo Arani, suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the murder of businessman Edmond Mëhalla, who was executed 2 days ago in Elbasan, has been published.
He is accused of "Premeditated murder committed in collaboration", Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition and "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence".
The 32-year-old was under "house arrest" after being accused of money laundering, while in June, the Elbasan Prosecution Office seized 14 assets owned by him.
According to the Prosecution, the investigations revealed numerous financial transactions related to prostitution and documented that these illegal proceeds were laundered in a sophisticated manner to appear legal through investments in real estate and movable property.
Marcelo Arani has been declared wanted by the police along with Armando Kola, following accusations of being the perpetrators of the crime.
