New details have emerged regarding the serious incident that occurred in Korça, where a 66-year-old man was found dead inside his vehicle engulfed in flames.
Preliminary investigations are treating the case as a suicide, while authorities continue to work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
A family member of the victim, in a statement off-camera, indicated that the 66-year-old's main concern was related to the process of legalizing the apartment.
According to him, although he had all the necessary documentation, the 66-year-old was unable to obtain legalization due to a problem related to a window in the apartment, a situation that had been worrying him for a long time.
"The only problem he had was the fact that his apartment was not being legalized. He had all the documents, but they wouldn't legalize it for one window. He had previously been an immigrant in Greece. He was a regular and calm person, not aggressive at all," said the victim's family.
The Police and the Prosecution continue investigations to fully clarify the causes and motives of the incident.
